Father’s Day

Started the month out with dim sum with the family at Asian Pearl for Father’s Day.

And, did yoga with my moms. With brunch afterwards at Venus (the restaurant).

But, the highlight of the month was London. I went to Ascot (horse racing event), which was great and met all expectations. Sarah lent me her fascinator for the event.

I was really happy the Lalit, Sangita, Sabrina, Rahul and Pete spent the day with us there. Sadly, I didn’t win any of my bets. Sabrina and Rahul, on the other hand, had incredible luck and skill.

Ascot does bring together lots of interesting people in a crazy, fun setting.

Another highlight for me of going to London is Borough Market. I LOVE Monmouth coffee. And their pastries are amazing as well. One day, I’ll have to sit at the table and have bread and jam there. Any one who says London does have great food hasn’t eaten at Borough Market. Or eaten St. Margaret’s fish and chips.

Fish and Chips. Yum!

And Scotch Egg, from Borough Market, made with black pudding. Eaten at the airport before my flight. Did someone say vegan?

Finally, I made a return trip to Windsor. I had been there in 1998 during my Contiki trip. So, it was nice to see it with fresh eyes. It is a great town with a lovely pedestrian street.

My haircut. I like getting haircuts right before a trip. Yes, I know. A bit of a rough picture. No make-up. But, I love my hairstylist Sofie Lynn!
